History

Oak Forest is the third largest subdivision in Harris County, following Kingwood and Sharpstown.

There are 5,526+ homes, 18 sections, and over 23,000 residents!

The OFHA Community Patrol Program began 10 years ago after after neighbors became concerned about the increase in crime in Houston. A group of volunteers began the process of interviewing security companies and law enforcement agencies to determine the one best suited for Oak Forest. S.E.A.L. Security was chosen because of their proven record providing coverage to other Houston communities of similar size. S.E.A.L. also provided members with additional benefits like Vacation Watch, and would consistently patrol during contracted hours.

OFHA Community Patrol Program continues to adapt to a changing Oak Forest. As of January 2024, only 12% of Oak Forest Residents participate in the Community Patrol ProgramIn 2024, awareness for new and existing residents will be core to the campaign.
